Ignore me too, if you want to.

May 26, 2009

I have been thinking hard all weekend about how to broach this subject with the readers of this blog and the Circus’ student body in general, and I have chosen (as usual) to be direct.

I think it was pathetic that there were only about a dozen ad students at Forum last Friday. I was embarrassed. And I wondered throughout Doug’s talk, what could those who skipped Forum have been doing that was more inspiring?
Doug Menuez documented the rise of the internet, spending years behind the scenes with Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and other CEOs of the dot-com revolution. His work will someday be seen as nothing short of historic. He has shot dozens of ad campaigns. Today, he is using his considerable talent to change the world. And for two hours, he gave his time to The Creative Circus.
Sorry you missed it.

right on dan. personally, i think it was one of the more inspirational forums we’ve had since i’ve been there. and i know another CW who can’t stop talking about it, and felt so full of inspiration after leaving. photographers usually do have the most interesting things to talk about.
